What really amazes me is that we had a Black Bear Diner open right next to a Denny's. And the Denny's is still in business. I won't go there myself, but it always surprises me to see all the cars at Denny's when I go to Black Bear. I guess there is just no accounting for some people's taste. Yeah, Black Bear is a bit more expensive, but it is WELL worth it!
it says that you are a "wannabe" trucker so why the intense hate for denny's/subway because they are in truckstops? you don't buy fuel anyway do you unless you drive a diesel car or pickup truck and even then you do not pull thru the fuel lanes for big trucks i am thinking. all the hate seems a bit much when you aren't even a driver.
love those dennys. have no problem with the lumber jack slam. it fills me up and about the same price as the buffet was. when you could find one that wasnt so dried out you could not eat it. after a while some of the pancakes would make good blocks for bottle jacks.
I have only had Denny's twice while I have been on the road. While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't great. It wasn't really anything to write home about (or post a picture of on Facebook). I try to find other places to eat at outside of the truck stop whenever I can.
