I am not trying to be a jerk, or disrespectful. I know (hope) that truck drivers are not deliberately trying to cause traffic jams, but I would really like to know why a vehicle driving at 10-15 below the speed limit needs to be in the middle lane? The frustration that causes is immeasurable. I can say with total confidence that where I live, trucks are the primary cause for our traffic problems. The DOT has even acknowledged that as a fact. Like I said, I'm sure there is a good reason: I'm just wondering that reason is? Thank you.

Because most of you do not know or care about the legal way to enter a limited access roadway. OTOH, in areas away from thick urban traffic there's no excuse for not being in the right lane except when passing.
The simple way to eliminate trucks from your traffic woes is to stop buying stuff.

What I would like to know is why so many 4 wheelers like to hang out in the middle lane and hold up trucks who aren't permitted left.jason_marinaro, Canadianhauler21, SixShooterTransport and 6 others Thank this. -
When people obtain driver licenses, they should be educated on how to share the road with big trucks, they should learn about trucks weight, speed, brake distances and operating manner. Unfortunately no one is being taught that, so the general public thinks that operating the big truck is the same as driving a regular car
