Got a copy of my report the other day and it says CRST requested a copy of my DAC> However, I have never applied to CRST and have no plans to. In fact, I have never done anything more than a few preliminary questions with a recruiter and that stopped as soon as I found out they only use teams. So why would this be there?
Why would CRST request my DAC?

Are you running for an outfit that might sometimes haul brokered loads for them? I'm just taking a shot in the dark here.
-
No, I haul LTL for a company that delivers to Ford & GM plants in Chicago and Fort Wayne. Hence the name...

It looks like you would have had to file a release form for them to do that. Even doing a background check for jobs through GIS required a release form to be signed first.
But you opened the door I guess when you called them perhaps. Don't know if you can get any info from Hire Right or not. -
I run for a small company, and we do broker loads once in awhile, and not once has my DAC info been given to the broker.
Dac is only suppose to be used when applying for a new driving jobs, by companies who subscribe to it.
Sound like Daycab, needs to call dac up and ask why they are giving out his info, when he isn't applying . That and look into your credit history and insure your identity hasn't been stolen.
-
The info's there for all the world to see, so, while you are calling to ask questions, the recruiter is checking DAC to see if you really are a strong contender. If you had a bad DAC, he would end the call right then. BTW, people check your credit all the time without your knowledge, such as cell carriers/utility companies/potential new companies that you're applying to and a few more I can't think of. Oh yeah, an apt agent you're thinking of moving into. Welcome to the 21st century.
-
sure they can check your dac or credit history but not all the informations are accessible
-
Honestly,
more than likely a case of mistaken identification.
Happens way more than people know.
Just another reason to pull your on MVR and DAC often, to check for mistakes !! -
