What megas pay is cents pricing. They pay a few cents over cost from what truck stops pay. I use NASTC, which does the same thing. If a mega is telling you a price like the OP mentioned, I guarantee that they are incorporating a FSC in to it, they are not actually paying that at pump. For instance, I believe NASTC has over 180k members. So if you think about it, no mega is even close to 180k.

I am the op and yes its 1.25 and no fsc so around $1.80/gal is still not a bad price. Just to confirm i called one of the tanker carrier around her (q.c) and they have the same price as mentioned above for owner ops

Heating oil contracts settled at 2.89 ( heating oil is number 2 without any tax ) minimum contract is 42000 gallons so the chance of Sergi or Ivan buying fuel for 1.25 is kinda slim.

Maybe he locked into those prices for a 5 year agreement before the ship sailed. I could see this before the one guy took office. Most likely if it is true that is why.

If they have that many trucks im sure they are buying on futures, which is way more than anything I’ll ever know about.

The thing is technically there is no “fsc”. The rate is the rate. You can break it down all you want, but they are then made up numbers. The customer cuts one check…the total invoice for the shipment. That’s an all inclusive number. It should cover all of your expenses, tarps, drvr ld/unld, fuel, tolls, etc…. The more you as a customer require out of me, the more i charge. The higher the fuel costs, the more i charge.
