Well you park in the left lane of the interstate all you want. I'll continue to the next safe place to park.

    Drivers...

Hell, they were even parking on the shoulder of the two lane I used to get home that was backed up for 15 miles.

It wasn’t as bad as what you had to deal with, but It surprised us. The weather gurus are using the term “bombogenesis” to describe its formation.

Does the driver have to pay extra for a flat tire? Like, just because you had to drive to a truck stop and let's say the rim gets damaged int he process. Do you pay for that? Or does the company let it slide?

So truly unexpected. Have to let us know what you're safety guru says to you. Im guessing not a word.
I'm running an od load over the weekend so will have a bit of time to kill. New Mexico doesn't allow Sunday travel. Im gonna find where it says 'directed by law enforcement' in the book. Doubleyellow alluded to it and i know I've read it. But maybe if i post it word for word and where its at in the book we can have a few less guys making a mess of things parking on the interstate.

I never have. Certain container haulers pay for the trailer tires when they pop them. And they pop them all the time.

Personally with a tire id limp till i could get far enough from the travel lanes not to risk getting myself hit by a brain dead. Im not driving 50 miles @ 65 mph and throwing rubber everywhere risking hurting someone, but I'm also not getting my ### run over either. Put the 4 ways on and slow to about 40 mph to get to the next exit.

Just because you cant find the actual print of the reg, constantly saying its ok to violate hos will not make that reg actually true.

You are an idiot if you think im advocating shutting down on the interstate. Im simply saying there is no such reg. that you are saying exists.

Guidance, reg, whatever. The effect is the same. The dot will never give you are hard time for going over your 14 or 11 because you are stuck in a legitimate unforeseeable event such as a road closure.

Some genius will take what you say for all its worth and never ever ever shut down again because of the accident they sat in and ran out of hours at. That was 4 years ago, ol boy is still driving. Lol

With that since there is no reg on it, there are also no guidelines to reach before a citation is issued. So meet an ####### and get yourself a ticket because you drove 2 hours extra. Instead of shutting down at the very first safe opportunity.

If your going to drive over hos for a road closing accident, tread lightly and shut down as soon a safely possible. Do Not take my advice as legal advice. My advice goes against the letter of the law, but its common sense and safe.
