Id buy a bose ride seat if it had a half way decent seat. The seat is junk. No heat, no cooling, no massage. If i spend 6k for a seat it better be loaded. If they sell just the platform for like 3 or4 k and i could put my own seat on it, id buy one. In summer i need my cooled seat after an hour of strapping and tarping. In winter i def need my nice warm seat

I removed the upholstery of my old Seats Eldorado million mile cushion, cut a hole and put in a $75 Wondergel cushion in and my gluteuous maximus feels mucho bueno!
I also beefed up the lumbar support and my back no longer bothers me. $75 beats $6K and a sore ###!
Ed I've done a lot of research on foam for bedding and seats. BTW I built my own mattress. You can easily rebuild your own seat cushion. Most all seats and mattresses use polyurethane foam of varying firmness but latex is the king of bedding and there's no reason not to use some latex foam in a seat cushion other than cost to manufacturers. Quality Latex mattress toppers are relatively cheap on Amazon and you'll have plenty of material to do all your friends seats too.Ed MacLane Thanks this. -

I spent 5 grand on my tempurpedic mattress at home, I've had it for 6 years now and it's been worth every penny. Eddie's got me thinking hard about the Bose seat, if it lasts 6 years, and there's no reason to think it wouldn't, then that's what, a hundred a month? Think about how much time you spend in that seat.......

All my new John deere tractors come with a seat much like a bose (may be a bose not sure) it self adjusts ride height (which I hate) but is no doubt the smoothest riding seat I've ever sat in. Way way better than a standard air ride. It doesn't bounce it floats. It's quite remarkable. And the leather is an even better touch. But all that said I have mine unhooked and sitting low as it goes (on the floor). Mostly because of the self adjusting ride height, seems every time I move it changes the height

Just put a new Legacy in my tractor replacing the 9 year old seat it originally had. Now I feel like I'm driving in a big old Cadillac. The difference between a $1000 seat and a $6000 seat can't be enough to justify such a difference. After the first $1000, the utility per $1 would have to drop off significantly.
