    But it’s not $250. The ad you posted deducts $335 a week, so roughly $17k a year for cargo and liability insurance. And you keep ignoring when I ask what the point would be leasing to a carrier that offers no direct freight and makes you pay their cargo and liability insurance for them? Paying cargo and liability and living off the load board is about one step away from having your own authoity. You use scrupulous carriers that advertise on CL as proof and ignore what anyone else says. Truth is that at the end of the day people leased to reputable carriers that have contract freight probably aren’t that far off independent carriers in terms of pure profit after expenses. Drivers tend to get hung up on percentages and don’t take the time to sit down and actually figure out the real numbers.

    I understand you have some sort of a “world is ending” agenda here, but if the revenue to my truck suddenly drops roughly 60 cents per mile I’ve demonstrated that in my operation I will still be profitable at 1.70 to my truck using my true real numbers. I’m sorry those don’t fit in your box.
