I am betting if he has a decent work history in in the oildield truck, he will have no trouble getting on with a highway operation.

Good luck to you. My wife and I are looking at doing the same.

    This is our general plan.
6 months to see if we like it. If we do then we will.
Put only the stuff we TRULY want to keep into a storage unit and live on the road.
Get mail service in a non-tax state.
Try to take some of our 36 hour resets in areas we want to see and rent a car. Don't forget to have a date night.
Save everything we can and pay off a house and then work on retirement savings.

Let us know how things go for you.

@handle177 - this thread has some companies that can also pertain to you. Transline and Redbone aren't in Texas.

    Covenant Transport $43,981 per year
    Redbone Trucking $67,454 per year
    SRT $31,850 per year
    Dot Transportation $78,000 per year
Decker Truck Line $67,555 per year
    Transline Enterprise no info
    Celadon Trucking $55,825 per year

This is from Indeed. Anyone know how accurate they are.

Anyone know of team places that will get you closer to $100,000 in pay like some of the LTL will?

It would be nice to do what Herbertscandrive is doing and stick with spouse but if one can make what it takes two to make it makes sense to drive separately or for someone to just stays home.

    Dreazz75 Thanks this.
