Must be nice. I live in Alabama and the minimum wage is $7.25/hr. Good luck finding a job that pays more than $15/hr too with a high school diploma. Oh, and guess what? The average rent IN ALABAMA is over $1,000.. this state ####ing sucks and I'm glad I'm following my wife while she's travel nursing.
The McDonald's right down the street from me starts at $12/hr.. chic fila starts at $8.50....
Wife wants to travel nurse, I want to follow her, Can I get a regional or local job anywhere?

Example... 99 places at $500-1000 and 1 beachfront penthouse at $50,000 gives an average of $1242.50, whereas the median would be $750, a more accurate depiction of the market as a whole.
Alabama consistently ranks as one of the most affordable states in which to reside.
Oops. Here's the actual numbers:

Your father must have places for rent in a very rural part of Alabama, miles away from jobs that pay more than minimum wage.
