I have an Android Smartphone through Verizon and use the Built in Hotspot thru a different App.

    Works great.
It is also a 4gLTE Phone and more and more 4g Popping up all over the place.

AT&T has a free large hotspot network available at nearly any/all McDonalds and speed results will vary but generally, any network hotspot program (free, paid, or otherwise) is barely capable of supporting basic web browsing, let alone video streams. Cellular data through your phone or mobile data device is generally faster and more reliable than any wifi you'll find at/near truckstops but you have to pay for data overages but if internet connectivity is important to you, that's the best way to go, in the end.

Todays' 4G LTE technology is impressive with a good device and in/near the larger metro areas.

Hate to ask but that isn't Verizon..... thought Mifi was exculsively one of thiers and they no longer have unlimited data plans (the rat b******s). Thinking about getting a line for one anyway. Broadband operates seperatly from the phone plans.... supposedly.
