Did you have to get an adapter? It plugs into the diagnostic port of the electrical system. I just got one and the Tech Support people told me all you have to do is plug it into the port. Never said anything about an adapter for the truck. Just inquiring.

Uses the frame and body as an antennae. Just have to have it activated to the primary location of your billing.....or so I was told.

You can plug it into the diagnostic port of the truck or you can buy a power adapter of ebay or Amazon. You can ge power adapters to run off USB power port, 12 volt cigarett lighter plug, or 120v AC power. It's about $30 for either of those power adapter or $40 for an adapter that can do it all.

Watch the video posted above. It shows a close up of the mobley plug. I have heard that the port in a big truck is J shaped and different from a cars. Check out your truck to see.

Yes, I think the diagnostics port of a semi-truck is NOT the same as on a car. You will need a power adapter for the Mobley. You can get a power adapter for the Mobley from Amazon or eBay. Just use "Mobley Power Adapter". If you prefer to have a 12 volt or USB plug include that. You can make an adapter a lot cheaper than the ones on ebay or Amazon but it's simpler to just buy one. Cost about $30.

You can't plug into a semi. They don't have obd2 connectors. And it has it's own antennae. No frame or body needed.

I have the Verdon unlimited but you can get throttled after 20gb down to 3G or below.

I have Verizon's unlimited data plan and a Jetpack in addition to my phone. The Jetpack gives 15GB/month at LTE speed, 600kph after the 15 is used up. I can use my phone hotspot for another 22GB/month at LTE speed, 600kph after that. On the phone, once the 22GB is exhausted I still get LTE on the phone itself most of the time unless in a congested area. I usually park at Flying J so I also have PFJ's $99/year plan. Between all this, I've got Internet when I want it! I use an Amazon Echo Dot to control the audio system - that's why I got the Jetpack. I also connect the TV to the Jetpack much of the time. I mainly watch Netflix which will work even at the 600kph speed if the signal is at least a full bar - it just takes a minute to buffer at the beginning of the movie. The Echo Dot works fine at 600kph. I usually save the phone hotspot bandwidth for connecting my tablet since that doesn't work well at 600kph. I have Amazon Prime...that will not work at 600kph and a movie will chew up 1/3 to 1/2 of the 15GB Jetpack allotment, so I only use that if on the PFJ wifi. Finally, I have MLB network - but that uses like a gig an inning, so I also use that only if on the PFJ wifi.

I use cricket with an ATT compatible phone and I have unlimited high speed internet and it cost me 40 dollars a month because I'm the 3rd line on a plan with a couple of my friends. I online game all the time. My pings were better through my phone's wifi hotspot than my DSL at my house so I just cancelled the DSL at the house. I get about 7mbps up and down no matter where I go. They say that after 22gb they MAY throttle you at times, but I've yet to be throttled and I checked their website. I used 65 gigabytes in one month.
