Ok... it may be "kewel" to use your hardware with a WiFi connection in Starbucks, but when you're driving a truck in this day and age it's a real tool. So you need a real connection. Do yourselves a favor, pay for a serious cell connection that supports an air card. Verizon, AT & T or at the least Sprint. Chuck all of the "free minutes" or "free airtime" offers - they're just a smokescreen for a crappy network.

Air cards, the only way to go. Where ever your cell provider has a signal, you'll have a signal.

thinking about buying the iphone my son allready has one........lol well im tired of paying for the poor service on my air card,, quick silver so you gave me an idea, or maybe just tethering another phone, unlocked air card on ebay 85.00 or so....

I have Verizon, so does that mean I can't tether my Storm?
And Ironpony, how much does it cost if I get Verizon's internet for my laptop? Also, what is the speed and is there a limit to how much you can download? (Yarrrrrr)
