Will a 3406E or C15 head fit a 3406B?

I need a head for an engine I'm having overhauled. I have a 3406E head. Will it fit? I haven't asked the mechanic. I'm guessing no but would like to know why.

Absolutely not! The B engine is an old mechanical engine that has external fuel lines to each injector. The E engines are electronic with different injectors, fuel passages and so on. The list of differences is rather long actually. Just different generations, very different!

No it won't. 3406B doesn't have overhead cam like the 3406E does among many other things.
