Will a company hire me if I have been long term unemployed

    As you call any company, and speak with any recruiter, you really should ask them what they'd like as proof of your time, not necessarily work, but that for instance you were not in jail or at Gitmo.

    Just follow what they say, each company will most likely have a different set of qualification's.

    I received an small inheiritance and decided to take a year off and enjoy myself. I ended up doing some mechanical work and welding under the table and didn't work for over 3 years. When I went to start driving all I needed was to write a letter stating what I did for that time with a couple of phone references they could call to confirm it all. They never even called the references and getting hired anywhere has never been a problem.

    Many companies will hire you and don't care if you were just released from prison as long as you have a CDL and driving school certificate.
