Will a past suspended license prevent me from getting my CDL?

I have a question for anyone to answer. I just got my license back but I have know moving violations I just caught a drug case in 2010 an I have points from that. I'm trying to get my cdl but dont know if you could get it or go through a company or school just want to know if I can at least get it through a school or company with these points on my driving record

Probably have to attend a private cdl school. License suspension is serious unless it for owing child support or parking tickets or forgot to make car insurance payment.
The reason for unpaid child support is, companies understand you can't make those payments if you're unemployed.

    Hello all,
I see this thread hasn't been updated in over a year and a half, but it's the only place I seem to be able to find any clarity/closure. Here's my situation; something like 8 - 10 years ago I had a 30 day points suspension that progressed to a 90 day and ultimately a revocation. I believe my lawyer had the revocation thrown out, but I recall the suspensions showing up on my record as recently as 2 years ago at which point I'd requested a records purge from my state and they haven't shown up on my mvr since, but in my ill-advised googlings I've read such things as I may not be able to get a CDL at all with a prior suspension, that there are separate records kept for them that never go away such as "NDR/PDPS" and/or a "civil driving record;' though I've gone as far as to call every DMV and DOR records information line that my state has and even paid for a hard copy of my records just to be sure, but I can't find anything to suggest that there's any record of my having ever been suspended(other than this post lol.) I applied for training assistance with my state and got approved, I start CDL school on Monday and just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time.

You're not wasting your time; plenty of companies will hire you. Where is your location; state and nearest town/city??

Hey Question, so i had my regular Class C license suspended on 8/20/19 reinstated 10/12/2019 for not paying my insurance. I have since not been suspended and just got My Class A. My Emplyer(Amazon Fleet) is now doing a background check through the FMCSA. should i be worried? Been with them for 4yrs as a hostler driver miving to over the road now. Can i be let go for this as drving with a Class A is now a requirement for them.

Most companies don't hold that against a driver; expired insurance or failure to pay child support. You can't pay either one if you are unemployed.

Question everyone my license was suspended and I got reinstated in August, I really want to get my CDL's. Is there a company that will hire me or should I wait a little longer.

The only way you can find out is by calling them and asking.

But... You may want to reconsider CRST or CR England to get your CDL through. There are other companies to try. Check out Stevens, KLLM, or Swift before those other 2.
