there is only a slight possibility someone might use you as a yard jockey/fueler......otherwise, a company would have to use another driver to go with you, and that might not work out, as the other company could/would be liable for you if you crashed. if you still have your class B and i would imagine you do, they might use you for class B trucks........but the class A issue, is debatable. -
Believe it or not in NYC on Craigs Lst under transportation there is an awful lot of driving jobs! And no not everything on CL is a scam! Look through it and see what you can come up with. Besides it'll be better hiring on with someone out on LI than some BFI out in Utah or Phoenix or wherever BFI hides and have no where to park your truck on home time! I watched a guy park his truck at the rest area on the EB LIE where the rail road car is and get into a car with his bags and drive away and about half an hour later that truck was surrounded by the bomb squad and cops because someone called it in! he showed up about 30 minutes later in the backi of a cop car and opened the truck for them and two hours later he had to drive the truck away! AHHH the entertainment value of going to NYC!
Anyway because you live where there are no truck stops and where parking would cost you in one night what you would pay in a year anywhere else get a job with someone in the neighborhood!
Oh parking at the Vince Lombardi is not a good idea either.! Guess how many truck that some guy parked there and got in the car with his wife or whoever get broken into or stolen? That's another spot not to leave a truck along!
