Will anyone hire me with a simple possession chare that is 4 years old?

Ya, I had a recruiter. When I first went in to talk to him before I even made my decision to go he sat there and talked it up like it would be so easy for me to get a job no matter what and since I was going to this particular academy they would be able to find me a job immediately. Even after graduating "Top Driver", an honor that they told me would guarantee me a position, I have been turned down by 8 major companies. The new recruiter that they have does a good job, but they still aren't being honest with me about how my record will effect anything.

 

It was possession of less than an ounce in the state of Nebraska. I got pulled over with an eighth and paraphanalia. In Nebraska it is a misdemeanor.

 

I am a very clean cut guy. I currently work for a couple of hotels, one being a major hotel in the Disneyland area. I have not used marijuana, or any narcotic for that matter in over 3 years. I have a wife and kids and chose the truck driving profession as a way to support another baby I have on the way. That being said, I am willing to do whatever it takes to get on for any company driving, and have the skills and the motivation to do just that. If I would have known that this possession charge would have any effect on getting a job I would never have dished out as much money as I did for a driving academy. I really hope this wasn't a big mistake.
