Nope. I had 20 years of experience as a bus driver with a Class B license, I was still considered a rookie.

No, they want experience in a “Combination” type vehicle. Anyone can do a class B.

You have to relearn how to drive.
All class B trucks are defective.
You go to back into a dock.
    Looking in mirrors.
    You turn the wheel.
    Truck goes the wrong way!
    Defective!
    Defective I tell ya!
    Defective!

Lots of companies won't consider Class A daycab experience for OTR.

NO. Class B doesn't count except for Class B.

    austinmike Thanks this.

I know your right, but I disagree personally than that, a local driver bumps a lot more docks than a OTR, But I believe its more of if a driver can handle the stress of being away from home for (now days) 4 to 6 weeks at a time, I see no reason other than lazy dispatchers for not getting drivers by the house.
Like in the old days to find a west coast driver you had to look on the east coast because that's where the companies sent them to keep them out.
As far as the broken Class B trucks, trailers shorter than 20" are also broken.

    austinmike Thanks this.

How can you expect to be successful putting in as little effort as possible and getting the smallest experience

Little effort? Do you have any idea how much work it is to keep starting all these new threads?

I never said Class B doesn't work hard. I said lots of trucking companies give an applicant no credit for Class B when they are hiring Class A, especially OTR.
