What part of so-cal are you in? I'm a fuel hauler. We work like, 10-12 hours a night, and a lot of terminals run on a 4/3 schedule. Some will give you 5/2 5/3. I think, if you want to be local and want to haul tanker, fuel is the way to go. If you can make it to Los Angeles, there are literally unlimited options available. You can PM me with your location and I could give you some leads.

Update: just got prehired on a dedicated position with Ruan transport. I passed my physical, drug test, and road test. I'm heading for orientation later in the week.

Nice, but be careful with worker's comp injuries. They will straight up try to fire you for filing Worker's Compensation. If you're lying in the road dying and bleeding to death, you will violate company policy by not producing a little business card with a 1800 # to call, which then connects you to a Ruan medical officer, who then determines which hospital you should go to , to mitigate their healthcare costs. Just remember that, in case you're dying and experiencing your last moments, YOU HAVE TO CALL THE 1800# OR ELSE YOU'RE FIRED

Lol. I hope it isn't too much of a #### show with the management side of things if it is I'll be moving on. There's companies that do dry bulk hauling in my area it's just a matter of getting my tank and doubles endorsements.

I'll definitely be following this topic as I've been in a similar situation...Swift was the first company I worked for, left after 4 months with a bad DAC but nothing on my MVR. Moved to San Diego and got a much better job with a smaller company, just around SoCal and the Southwest, made more money and home every other night. Now I'm looking into what my next move could be, hopefully fuel or some kind of heavy haul, but I'm still really worried what would happen if they contacted Swift.

    #### that's why I like my owner operator gig; set along side of a goat trail road last night waiting for farm to open this morning.
Ate wings, and indulge in hops. Call myself this morning and said I would be 30 minutes late. #### I didn't write myself up. Only reason late was nothing running 50 degrees out, about 62 in cab, #### didn't want to get out of bed.

I definitely remember those little cards in the final year I worked there before getting fired for my little nap. They're an alright company to get with as long as you've got a reasonable terminal manager that isn't running the place like a pure dictator.

Yeah, my terminal had a union. The union was useless.
