Yes, I know. In fact, the judge said - before we started - that he would have the public attorneys talk to everyone first in order to get the cases "resolved" sooner. So, some cases in the docket, he didn't even hear a word about.

Anyways... Those speeding tickets were 5 over and one was 10 over. Haha. Ah well, I've been doing well the past five months. I am now part of a motor club, so I don't feel "the need for speed" as often.

Okay well I didn't want this to turn into a debate on my guilt or innocence on the matter, but here goes:
1) Tires have little traction w/in the first 500 miles of use.
2) I was on an incline, let in the clutch and shifted into first in order to go, as the light had just turned green. The car behind me (cop) was so close to my arse that I could not see his lights, thus once my car began rolling backwards, I was afraid of rolling into him. And since the car was new to me and had a slightly different cluth than I am used to, I gave too much gas and let out the clutch way too soon. It was an honest and innocent mistake that people make when they are first getting used to their new vehicle. edit: Also, the officer lied and said I had done it twice previous to the write-up and that I had not used my signals four times. The public attorney said, "In recent evidence brought forth by the officer, I will give you two choices: admit guilt to negligent driving, or plea not guilty and I will motion for reckless driving. That officer had amazing memory and is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the best officers on the force." Now how do I compete with that? You can't. Not a 19 year old "punk kid" can compete with "one of the best officers on the force". Not w/o an attorney.

EXACTLY! Which is why I KNEW I would win the case, cause he had no proof of negligent driving. But noooo.
