It probably won't be any worse than the boot camp bunks
-
The only problem I foresee for a tall person (I'm talking >6'6") is using a truck with a flat top bunk and getting under a trailer to inspect it.
I'm 5'9" with short legs and a tall torso (best power-lifting body apparently) and squatting under the trailer is a breeze if my knees cooperate.SingingWolf Thanks this. -
Modern trucks can take drivers from under 5 feet to over 6 feet tall. There might be a problem if a driver were under 5 feet tall AND very very heavy.

You mean beach ball?
AtticusRoad and SingingWolf Thank this. -
Yeah my left knee is uncooperative at times but I'm 99% sure that I won't be in a flat top sleeper.

Either the foot board, or the head board, will make a nice romantic fire in the fire place!
Man keep on top of that knee problem. My own opinion, not backed by any fact, is that knees are one of the biggest problems for truckers.
I had a knee replacement, after living for over ten years with knee pain. I could kick myself for waiting so long.SingingWolf Thanks this. -
Two things. How can you kick yourself, with a bad knee????
Second, 14+ years in the Army, and being hit by a truck as a kid has caused me to have bad knees. I don't complain about driving an automatic, it gives me room to stretch out my leg and pop my knee. (like cracking knuckles)SingingWolf Thanks this.
