Looking to change companies. Mostly drove Volvo’s, some Freightliner, no problem. I’m 5’4”. So short. Kenworth’s are a bit taller as far as drivers seat/position. Have to sit upright like on an old fashioned kitchen chair.
The only Pete I’ve sat in was a few days ago, after adjusting the seat, the dash was way higher and blocked at least a full car length in front. No idea which model.
Yeah, I need to go sit in one, but until I can, has anyone here around 5’5” or so driven one comfortably?

You will be fine. I own a 579, and even though i am 6'2" one of my best friends is 5'2 and had no issues when we used my rig to do his cdl road test. Though i also have an aftermarket seat. The 579 dash is about the same height as a standard volvo or freightliner dash and no where near as silly as the hood truck dashes.

Worst case just tell the company to get you a taller seat with a tilt. For most of them its no issue at all as in the grand scheme of things.

Excuse the dirt ive been running some dusty loads and havent cleaned well in a few days. But this should give you a good idea of a 579s dash

You don’t have to sit high. I’m 5’7” and keep my seat all the way deflated and drive a hood. If your focusing right in front of that bumper your already gonna hit it cause you didn’t look far ahead enough.
