Will I Have An Issue with Steer Weight?

    Just make sure you have H rated steering tires. G rated will get you a ticker at some scales if you have over 12300 or so on the steering axle.

    Just slide your seat up a couple of notches. Each notch is 200 pounds.

    A lot will depend on your king pin setting. It it's deep you might hit the landing gear before you can slide enough up. It might pay to take a tape to it.
    Edit to add: I wouldn't think that you would have to worry about reefer clearance to the back of the sleeper with 280 wb, but with a deep king pin setting that is also a concern.
