How do time sensitive berries in California get to the grocery shelves in Maine before the shelf limit expiration date? Can robot trucks accomplish that?

Your job will probably be gone in 6-12 months but Uncle Joe says you can just code instead.

Eventually it will be low-wage non CDL holders that sleep and Ride Along doing the work at the stops before that its low-wage CDL holders supervising the robot and doing the work.

I think we're many years away from Full autonomous vehicles. When the robot drivers start killing people and the cities and towns see their ticket revenue disappear theres gonna be some push back. I hope theres a lot.

We have a particular 54 reefer group on a fast 5 day Yakima-Chicago-Albany Train that is dedicated.

Once the USA remembers that trains went everywhere until the end of the US Mail contracts in the mid 50's trucking at that time was just a last mile support.

I have done coding. For a total of 15 minutes before I dropped that pair of classes. Nothing upsets me more than a self induced error due to math weaknesses. I did make a little bit of scene. Coding is a form of breaking big rocks into little rocks hard labor hunched over a keyboard. It is absolutely not for me.

I might as well consider a trip to the Valley, the Farmer can have a sign out "Pick your own" just like we used to do back in the day in the east. If you wanted two shopping bags full (Paper) of quality beans, you visited a pick your own farm in season for it.

You don't realize that all people who might gonna loose job because of robots , will need to going to flee to your market and will get your pay lower , cause it will be simply more competition
Or and don't forget that those people who working right now one way or another using your product, so to who you gonna sell your crap if most of us will be replaced? To robot? Yeah have fun with that :)

Look drivers wages are still higher for the amount of work the driver does, this shouldn't be just a job but a profession and we have a glut of drivers and capacity, our industry is very easy to get into and the license is joke when compared to other jobs or profession.

Robots won't take over the industry for a long time, hell I don't think most will be alive when they get a foothold in the industry, these companies (except Honda) are looking to cashing in on an industry that is an open industry. They are looking at government grants as a form of revenue to produce something. Short term money grab, that is all it is ans you can see the eld crap with all of a sudden so many eld products on the market and a lot went away quickly.

If theres no shortage, then why is it so easy to find a trucking job? You can literally get your license and within 3 days be hired on by a company looking at at least 40-50k your first year. Tell me how many other fields out there are like that?
