Will my battery die if I leave my mini fridge plugged in on a 10?

Just got a new mini fridge. I’m about to take my 10 and I have food in it so I can’t unplug it. Will it deplete my battery?

 

It shouldn't, but it depends on the fridge and your batteries. You'll know in 10

 

I leave my on every night and it never dies unless it's more than 48 hours and it's above 75 degrees outside

 

Depends on the batterys, the fridge, anything else that may be drawing power ect. A big studio fridge when its 80 or 90 degrees out on 2 worn batterys? Yea that would likely die.

A little truck fridge on 4 brand new batterys at 60 or 70 degrees? That will likely be fine. That same setup but you have a bunch of parisitic power draws? Maybe it will die.

Best way to check, is see what if anything your truck is pulling from the batterys when turned off and fridge off with a multimeter. Crank the heat up in your truck to like 80 before you check so the fridge works hard and turn on the fridge. See how much its pulling then compared to how much battery power you got and crunch the numbers. Or you can just have a jump starter handy and leave it overnight turned off but fridge running. Worst case just jump it in the morning.

As a general rule though most batterys in good condition can support a small fridge for a 10 hour no issue.

 

If it does you have bad batteries. Do you have a battery protection device that will kick everything off if the voltage drops?

 

why would you want to keep food in the fridge for 10 days it would more than likely go bad in that time hell eat it while your on your 10 and replace it with new just unplug the fridge to save on the batteries

 

I'm good for three day's at least,unless batteries are weak.

 

Depends is youre batter wearing winter clothes in the fridge

 

Depending on the truck your in it should have an opti idle feature to heat cool and charge the batteries also

 

10 hour break, not 10 days.
