The manual for the 25 cascadia btw has a small section for the sears atlas seat. With all the fancy electronics, I’d figure that some seats might not be compatible with new 2025 trucks, especially fleet stuff like cascadia day cabs.
my understanding is that any new seat needs the safety occupancy sensor already inside the seat. Would seats inc have the correct sensors, or do they need the vin number because each manufacturer has different sensors?
Will swapping a factory seat for a legacy silver brick a 2025 cascadia day cab?

It wouldn’t “brick” it. It would effect your cruise control.
You can buy the sensor or use the one that you have. You’ll have to remove the seat cover to install.QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
I guess seats inc makes the seat with the sensor installed, according to their rep. I wonder if each truck manufacturer requires its own special sensor.

The fact you gotta worry about swaping a chair breaking a truck says a lot about modern rigs....

The fact that they have to have a seat occupancy sensor tied into the cruise control says a lot about modern steering wheel holders.ElmerFudpucker, 201773, AModelCat and 7 others Thank this.

What about weight limits for occupant?

My truck had the seat swapped with a legacy, there's a small wire coming out the back of the seat not plugged into anything.Theres another connector behind the seat but the plugs are different so they won't go together.
My cruise works ok,but it's a KW. -
They are tied to the Intellipark too now. And some are connected to the stereo system and mirrors

Huh dont know how i missed this one...that said. Is it that they need to have the seat tied to the sensor because of the driver or is it that having this crap allows even crappier drivers?hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.
