I wasn't feeling tired at the start of the 3 hours, but after 3 hours I couldn't keep my eyes open, so I stopped, hence the next sentence in my post.
Will you go without sleep in this job?

I urge all of you to think of this: If(God forbid) you kill someone on the Highway or Big Road-accidents of course do happen- but if you were driving tired to make an appointment or over HOS-and if a member of the person which was killed were to ask you;'Why did my wife/daughter/son/ whoever have to die'..And YOU were at fault..What are YOU going to tell them? My dispatcher 'TOLD ME' or I 'Wanted an extra $200 on this paycheck'...Really..I'm being sincere here. Think about it..There are NO Do-Overs on the highway...

Oh ya! I'm talking to the only truck driver that has never drove sleepy! Lol -
Words of wisdom to live by but you know as well as I do ppl know the consequenses to driving tired and that's the risk they take.Nothing you can say will change that.

Whether on the road or at home, I find I can typically get by on 5 to 6 hours sleep per night for about a week, then my body will finally crash and I'll get a solid 8 to 9 hours sleep.
