They want me in orientation next week. I am a recent graduate. So, I know next to nothing about trucking / trucking companies. Compared to some of the others that I've went through the application process with, WSE seems like they are squared away. They were very efficient, speedy and they kept me informed throughout the process, which took less than 3 days. My first impression is great. Can anyone else tell me anything about the company?

Originally out of Elm Springs, Ar. Originally called Willis Shaw Frozen Express. Bought by Com Car industries some years back. Reefer operation running Macks.

I spent the day with one of their drivers during a hurricane in Jacksonville, FL in a drivers lounge years ago and he seemed pretty happy at the time. Said they ran him and got him plenty of miles, only thing he didn't like was his truck was governed at 61 mph.

I drive for Mct which is I guess they called it wse 's sister company. Overall they seem good to work for. I get plenty of miles and I pull wse loads and Mct loads. I know a driver that just got recently hired with them and he likes it. They do however govern their trucks I brlieve from 61-65 and in my opinion the terminals suck but I would give em two thumps up so far.

They've been around for a LONG time. My Dad was a mechanic for WS in the early 70"s. When I was thirteen, he took me to work with him for a few days in the summer and taught me how to weld on a crackerbox welder in Willis Shaw's shop. 1973.
