I have no accidents, clean criminal background and high school education. I have worked three jobs in two years, the first two seasonal positions that didn't last long. Like most seasonal positions they didn't last long just a month for both. I currently work at McDonalds and have for 6 months. Worst part about my application is the employment gap between my first job and the second. It was a 5 month period, it consisted of me applying and applying but never getting any calls back. Down fall to a small town, few jobs and a lot of people competing. I did take care of my grandmother then because she was injured and recuperating. It was a few months for her to recuperate and about a month of multiple trips to the doctor to complete the operation

I would think that 5 month period would be of no effect. Simply put, you were actively seeking employment and caring for an invalid family member at the same time. That's all you need to say.

Thats what I was thinking. Theyre a family owned company with from what I can tell a family atmosphere so they should understand. I did have one period after high school where i worked with my brother in law as an assistant. He was a subcontractor with Hughes Net and i was paid under the table. This lasted until my sister got pregnant and i stayed home during her 8th and 9th month and only helped my brother in law when possible. If my sister went into labor we felt better having someone home with her. It stayed that way until about 3 months after giving birth. So I never quit working just cut back

The situation with my sister shouldn't be much of a problem. I never actually quit just cut back the hours to help my sister with her new born. She got depression or something along those lines
