    Ok not the cargo control side winches I am asking about 12v powered winches to pull dead vehicles or whatever onto a trailer. What are you using?

    You can run a chain across the bed and hook a 12 volt winch to it so cable winds on in center.

    Cars won't be able to get on a flatbed, maybe 4x4 pickups. I would recommend Smittybilt winches they have good warranty and spare parts available, don't buy Harborfreight winches 90 days warranty and no spare parts.
