    This same thing happened to a landstar driver about 2 months ago. He was hit with a 5 digit fine. It was on the landstar home page and landstar warned us heavy haul drivers to correct our permits when needed

    That is the one I was referring to. Scary. I spoke to that driver. He is fighting it.

    Interesting, that's the first time I've ever seen that in any official capacity. I would guess it can be plea bargained down.

    My traffic attorney was not able to plea bargain mine down from a cost stand point - max fines plus court costs

    I do know of citation in PA that was bargained down from 30k to less than 5k
