Any trucker tricks to getting the bug guts off the windshield? The regular washer fluid does nothing. I get up there and scrub them off...but is there a fluid that works better than others to get them off as your driving?

I swear some of those bugs are made of wax.... and washer fluid just makes them worse....

I keep a telescoping rv scrubber/squeegee I bought from walmart rv section.
I keep one of those, and a big cheap bottle of window cleaner.
Try not to let it get behind, and clean every morning.
Get the dollar store washer fluid.
Keep it cheap, cause they are gonna be all over you again in a few miles.
I hit some big Nasty brown gooey ones this week.Looked like cow pies :yes2557:

And for those difficult bugs that are dried on, use a screw off cap from a soda pop bottle. Makes a good scraper that doesn't scratch the glass.

bottomdumpin, ncmickey and kee1227 Thank this.

I use rainx 2 in 1 its a little more per bottle but the bugs disappear and the rain x is in the fluid so it then the rain runs away too.

Yes.. I add dish soap to the washer reservoir ..It Certainly Helps, Only Downside, It leaves a trace of soap around the edges of the wiper blade marks on the windshield..No Biggie Tho

I saw a RainX product for bugs while in WallyWorld yesterday, might give it a try. I never used it, but I have used other RainX products and was very happy with the effectiveness.

I use a Small Brush a bottle of windex and a squeege.
Get on top of the engine and scrub windshield really good.
Use my finger nails to get the real stubborn stuff of.

    DocMarten and ncmickey Thank this.
