It's later than usual, but the west is finally getting hit with a winter storm dumping snow and rain from central California all the way up to Seattle. I-80 has chain controls up over Donner Summit and Portland to Seattle will be getting very heavy rain today that will turn to snow as it moves east across the Cascade mountains. No doubt this system will dump a lot of snow across the central/northern plains and the Rockies as it moves east.

    Stay safe out there drivers.

062, REO6205 and Scooter Jones Thank this.

Had to chain up over Donner Friday night. Of course I didn't see a single snow flake until Lovelock.... Got a little squirelly for a while.
