Winter storm coming across.

Ariens are the absolute best in the snowblower industry. I had a previous version of the Compact 24. They throw snow further than anything else, thanks to an iron gear box and higher auger and impeller speeds.

 

That would be nice and all but unfortunately my wife has a bad back (still recovering from compression fractures) and being a nuisance is literally grounds for eviction. And there aren’t that many affordable housing options in our neck of the woods!

Those Ariens are your best option for the wet/heavy and i've used them all commercially. You'll get many years of dependable service out of Ariens but none of them are quiet! Make sure your using non-ethanol gas (octane doesn't matter) but here it's usually on the outside pumps at gas stations and 91 octane for whatever reason.

I wouldn't even bother with an electric snow broom unless it's light and fluffy. From what i hear you guys don't get the cold like what we do for light and fluffy.

 

We get the occasional cold snap(subzero wind chills,polar vortexes) in between lake effect snow and nor’easters. The thing is you have to get after the snow before the temperature drops,otherwise it’s like trying to shovel concrete-and we’re fresh all out of jackhammers!lol
