I-40 New Mexico is supposed to be affected also with snow and 60 mph wind gusts. I'm looking at taking I-10, 20, 30, & 40 to TN from Bakersfield, CA instead of sitting and waiting.

It looks like the southern route won't be any better as far as wind goes.

This is what I-94 looks like just west of Fargo as of 1930hrs local. No travel advised due to the storm. Also we’re under blizzard warnings until 1200 tomorrow.

I-40 WB just got closed in Winslow, Flagstaff is no-go for at least partial night, all depends on how many plows they can get rolling.

Man, I just arrived to Grand Forks from Crookston, MN. Took me over an hour, it was the scariest experience of my 7 years driving. I am empty and only was doing 20mph with like 10 feet visibility ahead. Trailer and truck got lifted to the side by wind few times and I had no control whatsoever. Those seconds felt like an eternity. I still can't believe I did not get tipped over.
    What a wind!

I ran 10 out of SoCal instead of 40.. Windy on the bottom but dry. I knew 40 was going to be a mess on Flagstaff they've been calling for bad weather for several days.
