NO, NOT about driving in bad weather...we get enough of those on the Qualcomm...
DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT MILES UNTIL SPRING!!!
With the weather, any and all delays are possible, so you may see 3 days allowed, where it should normally take 1-2 days to deliver. They are accounting for bad weather. Also, keep in mind, as winter gets worse, you may be lucky to average 45mph over a 10 hr day.

Winter time is usually when my miles were higher than any other time of the year. Definitely have been this winter compared to my summer. Spring time is usually when my miles would fall off.

if you can be a go-to guy, you can get a lot of 'save-a-load' miles in the winter

well if u plan your day right and i agree with efon u can average 61mph a day if a storm hits if you re smart and time allows you dont roll out til 8 or 9 after all the plows have come thru. I got my truck in june with 1200 miles on it and i currently have 72517 on it thats a 10,000 month plus average am i happy with only 2500 a week no but it does the job id rather have consitent miles than jump around but im dropping in brooks tomorrow and will have 3200 miles georia to beuna park ca beuna park to brooks and i have hometime in phx on wed so thats another 1200 there. the key to winter is planning right and yes they give you plenty of time but they do that on some of these loads now. You run to get there give your ETA and PTA and deliver early and get the next load.

Efon - Hey brother, Mine as well. Of course that is if your dependable. I'm that guy who has no problem running into the blizzard to pull a load out to the other side.
I oddly enjoy the bad weather, for the challenge I guess. Since I have been with May I average 12k plus a month, Jan - April with out fail.
Merry Xmas to all that celebrate. I hear Santa getting ready to make a delivery and I need to put of the sign that reminds him to chalk his heels before he drops his load. Oh, I better leave some toilet paper too.
I'm out, peace!
