Wireless office set up in truck

i use ringcentral. 700 faxes for $8.99. also has an app for your phone. very easy to send and receive faxes. downloaded right to your computer or phone.
the email system also works pretty well.

as for wireless printing. you need to have mobile hotspot on your phone. as that's how the printer connects to tablet or phone or laptop. the hotspot feature works as a wireless router. just simply activate your mobile hotspot device.
the only drawback. is it don't work if there's no internet. which means using a printer cable.

some people prefer to spend an extra benjamin on monthly services for a hotspot device. instead of using the phone they already have. either way. it's a pretty easy setup. just need some type of internet hotspot in your truck.

i jus stick with the cable method. the printer i have, requires a reinstallation of the software everytime i switch between wireless and cable. pretty time consuming if you need to print something and don't have cell service.

 

got to thinking today about the devices nd printers function of windows. click on that and you can add a printer, then go through the motion of wireless or network.

it don't work on my printer. for whatever reason, but it does work on my home printer.

course, if your running win8. i have no idea on that beast.

What first looks off to me is, you dont list a laptop computer. The only phone I know of that can print directly, without a computer, to a HP is an apple phone. So what is your exact hardware setup?

 

OR........Explain to the Brokers that your "In a Truck" and cant afford to pay an outside office staff for your lousy comfirmations to be signed and returned....

For what they pay, They outta just 'trust' the independent carrier,send the e-mail confirmation to your home computer and send it back when you get home.... No clutter in the truck with electronics and .. But No The Brokers gotta make things hard all the time.

What would you guys do for work if we didn't have this computer cr@p to rely on for getting loads?

I still do everything from my home office..If Im not there and my wife is out...Tough,The Broker must put trust in me IF im using them on a backhaul.......

NONE of my regular customers ever question me if Im out in the truck and securing a load from them..Its word of mouth over the phone till I get back home
