no I used as a hot shot and I was frustrated with not being operator I moved on... but other wise an okay experience ... there was alot of resistance to me being female but I am sure if I were male I would still be there Hope for the Best for you go ahead and call them its better than truck driving but there are really long hours and hard work even as a hot shot as I wassurf_avenue and DevJohnson Thank this.

What's hotshot exactly? So you got to try wireline? And thats bad that happens with gender. When you first got to training did you have to pay out of pocket for housing?Last edited by a moderator: Sep 3, 2018

I lived near by enough to commute but no the others had a hotel paid for, hotshot for them hauls perf guns and supplies that can include boxes of explosives but you need hazmat to do that on your cdl. you dont have to speed but you have to find the site and that can be hard... i suggest pinning the site before you go out use google to find the place either with the directions or with long and lat also pin the lease road not just the site ... satellite may not be accurate... and definitely pin the location using the wifi in the wireline truck if you once you get there to make sure you have it because you will be going back likely... with more guns but thats only if you are hot shot... crews go out in groups but still good to have the pin in case you need it.
no smoking while on hotshot ... you have explosives so duhsurf_avenue Thanks this. -
