Some of the people that are so outspoken about their gun rights seems that they might be the one who would fly off the handle shooting someone because of their instant knee jerk reaction.
And your right, they do not help the cause, they just scare the daylights even more so out of those who are against guns making them more determined to take our guns away from us.MNdriver Thanks this. -

To both Oldhasbeen and MNDriver, I do not feel that I have provided a "kneejerk" reaction. I attempted to provide some level of education concerning gun laws in my own state. The issue, as far as I can see it, is that if I were to consider MNDriver's language and tone in his posting he seems to be in some way offended because I do not agree with his stance of not carrying a sidearm. Both MNDriver and I are, as I understand it, permitted to carry and have both taken training to do so. MNDriver prefers to not carry, I prefer to carry. And somehow my decision is a source of offense.

My safety is of a higher value to me than your feelings getting hurt.SheepDog Thanks this. -
And your hyperbole is not worth my freedoms or rights.

How is concern for one's safety hyperbole? Considering the increased reporting of violent crime in recent months, particularly gun-related crime, I think everyone should begin to show concern of their personal safety.SheepDog Thanks this.

There is a difference between being concerned for ones own and public safety vs the hyperbole of "judge by 12" rhetoric.
I care enough about it I am willing to directly confront a county attorney and sheriff over matter.
While at the same time NOT raising hackles in a manner that make things more complicated to achieve a desired goal.
To include getting people permission to exercise carry rights in schools.
And you don't do that by thumping your chest and talking how ones rights are more important than anothers feelings. -
See, it's the "chest thumping" terminology. A stance on carrying a firearm is not necessarily chest thumping, nor is providing state specific information on carrying a firearm. I simply do not see where I have been "chest thumping". What I have been doing is providing some information and state specific education that I have gained from months of research and discussion with attorneys and other professionals who specialize in firearms law in PA.SheepDog Thanks this.
