I never had an APU on my lease truck. I would just come in for parking after sunset. Always maxed the ac out for about ten minutes on my way in. Only had handful of times during the summer that I got up during the night to start the truck up for a few minutes. I used a 12 volt fan in the sleeper from Loves blowing directly on me keeping me cool. Truck had a bunk heater for the winter that worked well even in Minnesota. Oh, and I live in northeast Florida so.......don't give up over an APU, it's a luxury in my opinion.
With regret...

I have been trying to get hold of Cheryl Owens, but no emails, or phone calls have been returned since the 10th. The parts for this Dynasys (warmed over Rigmaster) are impossible to get as the last part is still missing in shipment. DM is going nuts over this, and I have applied for Federal Student Aid for College. There is only one way I will return, and JCT wont pay that number for this crap.

Wow I really let the APU get me all riled up didn't I!
Kinda fun to re-read these threads well after the idiot reactions are long gone... Did they replace those Dynasys units or not? I know they switched to Carrier for the new trucks... -
They don't use TK APU's?
-
They did for a little while. The '12 had the option to have a TK APU installed. The '14 came with the Dynasys or a TK (I think). All the new trucks will have the Carrier APU on them.

All the '14's had the Dynajunk and that badly designed bambi basher.
