No company, trucking or otherwise, will look favorably on someone that just ups and leaves a job without notice even though notice is not a requirement. They will figure that if you have done it before to other employers you may do it with them. If you did it once you probably can explain it away but if they see a pattern they may not want to hire you. There is a reason most people give notice when leaving a job as they realize their history will follow them.
Frankly, telling an employer to kiss my butt and walking out shows a lot of immaturity and is not something any employer will want in a new employee. -
Is there a link on the hire right site just for personal checks.

It will arrive in the snail mail 3-5 weeks. Zero Cost ( 1 free a year )
ETA: Dang, I didn't see the email option when I did mine. ohwell.Lux Prometheus and chy3280 Thank this. -
JD!(nice nick name) You will need to account for the previous 10 years of employment or lack there of. If you have gaps then you will need to explain those! If there were children born and time taken for that you can account for that, If you were ever known by another name(JD) will need to account for that! This is all because of the 9/11 actions of a few! You will not be considered if you leave anything out! there are a few companies that look an application over when you send it in, then they do deeper research when you arrive for Orientation, and should they find a hiccup in your history or something "Forgotten" You will be escorted to the nearest Bus station and sent home!

Keep one thing in mind: Not every trucking company out there registers with Hire Right, but most if not all the major players report to Hire Right or USIS (old name). Second, since June 2012, every D.O.T. stop you underwent, will be and is reported on the PSP/CSA 2013 record by date, time and list of all violations discovered therefore, I recommend all you slick drivers get your free copy which can be faxed and/or mailed to you from- FMCSA Admin attn: Freedom of Information Act (foia@fmcsa.dot.gov). First go to the FOIA website to learn which way to tilt your head and learn how they want you to write your request to them for this free copy..................................................................
btw: if you do not mind waiting 20-45min the telephone number to the FOIA is 202-385-2332 or 202-366-2960
