Just a local delivery van but you can bet there will be a lawsuit and investigation . Trainee ? I've never seen 2 people in a FedEx van . Now the question of liability . This was a contractor owned FedEx Ground van . How liable is FedEx ? Will this ruin the O/O if he is sued ?

I've seen 2 to a van. Not often, but I've seen it. Perhaps a training situation.
-
During busy periods they'll have a helper, UPS does the same.
skibum_63 Thanks this. -
See a lot of the local delivery vans being driven by IDIOTS , they think its the #11 NASCAR Toyota FED EX sponsors , speeding , no signals , cutting / out of traffic
-
A lot of negative effects after FedEx Ground contractors sued to be classified as employees . They won the battle but lost the war . FedEx eliminated single route contracts to avoid the grounds for employee status . With multiple routes O/O's had to hire drivers . The quality of drivers declined considerably .

And the driver didn't see that coming? The vans I assume are those that have tall doors and are always open? Gets me kinda nervous when I see them guys and I say gosh I hope that guy is buckled up...and here comes the passenger. Messed up way to go.

the supervisors ride along with drivers to see how things are going.

Sure can, they are still considered a part of FEDEX and have to be supervised but it's probably safety riding along.
-
Gotta hand it to FedEx for coming up with new ways to kill people.
