The trailer was full size, It reminded me of a heaven duty trailer they would haul extremely heavy loads on, it was just short in length.
It did not look like any septic thanks I've seen, most that I've seen around this part of the country is made out of concrete, not metal.
It did look like the tank was built very strong, & if cut into it would have made a very large cooker, you would be cooking for 1,000 to 2,000 people.
Wonder what this load was-HAZMAT

Probably was a bulktainer.. Intermodal tanker they have specialized trailers for them.
-
The trailer look much like this one. But the container did not look like this one. The shape of it reminded me of a 250 gallon butane tank, but built out of much thicker materiel.

I saw a guy hauling Uranium Hexaflouride the other day. It was a radioactive and corrosive placarded flatbed with a steel container strapped in the middle. I looked up the un code and then googled the name. Nice stuff.
-
I believe we say at least 3 placards from backside & the drivers side of that tralier with those numbers on them, this was between the 18 mile marker & the 0 miles marker, State Line at Texarkana on I-30.
Back in the 70's before the placards junk came out I hauled quite a bit of feterlier during the farming seasons, many times Ammonia Nitrate, from Little Rock & or Pine Bluff, yet there was not much thought about the dangers.
I think they have gotten a bit silly on some of this, I can't even go to the local farm store & buy a bag of Ammonia Nitrate no more. But they said I could buy it in bulk. I always would buy a bag or two of Ammonia Nitrate to spread on my yard about every other year. It seems to help my Saint Augustine grass making it look very good. But no more. -
Did it look like this?

That is the link I posted, & stated, the trailer looked like that trailer, but the container did not look like that container. As in my other post, "The shape of it reminded me of a 250 gallon butane tank, but built out of much thicker materiel."

I think I found what your talking about at a Truckstop in West Memphis.

Most likely low level radioactive stuff. Things like gloves, coveralls, rags, and such that are used to work around the high level stuff. You'll never know if the load is high level or weapons grade unless you know what you're looking for. There's several disposal sites around the country but I know of only one out in the Nevada Test Site.

Nah you misread the signs it was 232 as in U232.... LOL You do see some interesting loads while on the road.
