A Maverick recruiter told me on the phone recently that Maverick didn't care how you got your CDL, just whether or not you could actually drive to pass the company's driving test and if you were willing and able to do the work and pay attention throughout the training process. No, I do not remember which recruiter this was as I decided to look at other companies since the only student openings Maverick had in my area were for the new Reefer division.

1.Well amongst other things, You don't have a CDL!!! No one will rent a CDL truck to you!!!
2. You can't legally drive a CDL Vehicle on your own without a CDL License!!
3. You wouldn't be uninsured!!!
I guess your best bet is call a School and ask for a practical refresher and road test, yes it costs but it will be legal..Last edited: Sep 14, 2013

You asked for advice (demanded?), and then insult one who gives the advice? That's just rude. And nowhere in your first post did you suggest that you know what you should and shouldn't do. You didn't mention that a cdl holding driver would be with you. Maybe you should just go back to a school and learn how to have respect for fellow drivers while you're re-obtaining your cdl, especially when you want information out of them. Did you get a driving job without having your cdl? Makes no sense. Pilgrim's post was good information. And maybe you should consider it before belittling the drivers who have their cdl's.
You may be on your own after a post like that, man.
No respect. No respect at all (Rodney Dangerfield).
