Both are ok; private school or trucking company school.

If you attend a trucking company school that's a little shorter, then that's ok. Some of their schools are around 22 days, but that's ok because you have a job there.Rideandrepair, Cattleman84 and Lisa9 Thank this. -

There's one dock I am thinking about that I can't get it backed in, we always just pull it up along side the wall and load from a bit further away. We can get away with that because we throw boxes in individually. We don't have to use the docks. We roll the product out on carts. This particular dock was designed for a shorter truck.
But I do know it's possible to get a full sized semi backed in there, it's just very difficult. I haven't seen it done in person, it's possible though. The female I mentioned can do it.
Even if you are not as good as the person I speak of, it doesn't matter. What matters is you care about your job and try to learn as much as you can all the time.
I came from an office environment. To say the least, I was very nervous and apprehensive because I haven't done anything like it before. And I have no mechanical ability. But I learned none of that mattered. What mattered was my attitude and willingness to learn.Rideandrepair, Cattleman84 and Lisa9 Thank this. -
