That's a tough situation and I hope it all works out OK, whether you go ahead with it or not. If it works out, great - if not, you may be better off moving on than you are trying to play out a losing hand. You have to make the call and do what works for you.

As I said in an earlier post, I've done a lot of different things, and have never been afraid to try something new. I suppose I spent more time thinking about and looking into trucking than I did with any other field I've worked in. And there was a reason for that. The business definitely has its pluses and minuses, and I gave both sides some serious thoughts.

There's nothing wrong with taking chances and making changes. I'm just more deliberate about it than I used to be.

Joker....love this post. I have several drivers that do this job because they love it. Thank goodness, because the pay sure does bite the big one, but they are all good at it because they love it and that makes all the difference in the world with any job!
Same can be said of my job. I love being a dispatcher. The pay sucks and I spend long hours doing paper work, staying up late at night with my drivers, processing pay roll, and looking for freight but I've been behind the wheel and, while I loved that, I would have to say that dispatching is my true love! My drivers know I love it and they say that it does make me a better dispatcher!

    jokerl90 Thanks this.
