Woodhull, IL Homestead truck stop

    I stopped there last night, had a good meal (salad bar, & lasagna), friendly waitresses, plenty of room to park, only about 20 trucks in there, has room for at least twice that. Made me wonder why so many trucks were crammed into the Pilot on the other side of the interstate? Then I heard a guy in the restaurant mention that he didn't know that place was there until today. As much as I'd like to keep it a secret for whenever I'm through there, I'd like them to stay in business even more. So I thought I'd mention it here, its a good place to stop if you get tired of the same old chain places. Its halfway between Galesburg and the quad cities, I-74 exit 32, east side of the interstate, Pilot is on the west side.

    i loaded out of galva twice this month at all feed, when i did my post trip i came to find out my clearance lites were out. Breakdown called a repair shop from that truck stop. Kriders Road service......... turned out it was a corroded terminal on the truck side plug in........ Very nice guy and was there in 20 minutes as promised. so if you need a service truck in that area i would recommend him. dont know if its permitted to put his phone number on here so i wont. but the business name is Kriders Road Service out of woodhull.

    I've stopped there several times and have never been disappointed, with either the restaurant, rest rooms, or the c-store. Very clean place! The independant places are much better than the chain truck stops.
