It's easy to get data on a company. Just Google the company name followed by 'sms' and it should give you links to the fmcsa page.

Then in the upper right hand corner, there is a little blue box with 'sms results'
Clock that and it takes you to the safestats scores.

So I don't check back often...lol ... I have been there near 4 months now, I have gone past the 90 day probation period and am now full time with benefits... Listen, I have been home every weekend since I hired on. I live near Joplin. There has been once or twice I got home on Saturday morning instead of Friday but that was my choice because I wanted to add the load I had on as a weekend pre load to that week. Greedy is the word... When I first hired on I had to learn the system, where the cutomers are and the SOP at each. They make EVERY driver get training after orientation, it's end dumps for crissake not as easy as backing up to a dock. Every customer has rules and safety is a serious thing. I don't know if you have ever pulled a 39 foot frameless but you have to be crazy to operate one in the first place, they are unstable from the moment the front axle leaves the ground...LOL! but I am a bit crazy and I like it.. Crazy...NOT stupid. So your gonna get a truck and follow an experienced guy around for a week and do what he does, move when he moves, dump when he dumps.. LISTEN to him, they have good trainers I owe the money I make now to mine. So when Ben says you are getting home EVERY weekend you can take it to the bank. There are some things I don't like mostly concerning the truck specs but this is a small company and good people and most importantly.. Honest people. If they have a problem they will tell you... It's trucking man, not ballet.. Gonna have good times and bad. So as far as the money goes... He ain't BS'ing you.. At first I was making like 7 or 8 hundred a week and I was like WHAT? Then I realized the problem was me, not the truck or the way I was dispatched.. Listen at this company you can run anyway you want.. There isn't even a need to speak to anyone.. Just do your thing.. That's one of the good things.. As long as you stay safe, and run the loads they will leave you alone. So it was just like snap! And I figured out how to work the clock to get maximum production and I started bonusing nearly every week.. Today I was paid $1345 gross and I got $1109 after taxes with no insurance yet. They use the per diem at 5 days a week. The prior week I grossed $1059 and I got $910 deposited... The week before that was over a thousand net... Don't kid yourself, it's work! Now, WBT wants you to run hard and run legal, that's why every truck has PeopleNet Elogs and dispatch but it's not going to stop you from anything, it doesn't have cameras and it doesn't talk to you except to read emails to you when you ask it. We get paid percentage, the truck gets paid by weight so you can see the conflict there. Woody expects you to run the truck according to your experience, the best advice is just run it as close to legal as possible (sometimes we load in a field where there is no scale but the truck has gauges). That's what I do. I run it with the rule anything over 78k is good to go, the extra is not worth the ticket. Now Woody will only pay to 83k anyway so what is the point of going over by much? We do have some freight lanes where you can load the truck and not have any scale on the route but you still never know.. So If you hire on, run it the way you feel comfortable and NOBODY is going to say anything to you about that.

As for our safety record.. I checked out the .gov website and it says Woody has half the national average in percentage of OOS for trucks. I know if something is wrong with my truck the only thing between me and getting it fixed right away ON THE ROAD is a phone call and my time while it is fixed. So that means it's on the driver to report any problems.. They have a big shop in Gerald to handle things. As for accidents.. WBT has had them, with 162 trucks on the road, 100 of them OTR dry van running 48 States I would say the company record is above average. The end dump division has about 60 trucks and runs midwest and mid atlantic, it's unusual for us to get more than 600 miles from the Show Me. We head home Thursday or Friday and we leave out Sunday or Monday morning depending on how you want to run.. Remember what I said about independence? You want to make money, it's there, you want to make less money and spend 3 days at home every week, you can do that too. I generally leave out Sunday afternoon or evening if I got home Friday, there is a good load right down the road from my house so sometimes if I empty the truck Saturday morning I will wait and leave 7am Monday. Again, I am home EVERY weekend

Hope this answers your question.. PM if you want to know more

We haul customer freight in them ...LOL ... Mostly Clay, rock, some grain, some feed, even scrap metal and ground glass.. We even haul a bit of coke from time to time..(The black kind..lol) We haul legal freight if it can be loaded in the bucket we haul it. Sometimes that means you will have to sweep the bucket out after or even do some shoveling (rare) but mostly stuff just falls out nicely. I don't really care what they load in there as long as it pays a decent rate. Of course it matters the way you dump, it matters where you dump (gotta be on level fairly smooth ground man).

Yes...We do haul grain to the port but we don't mess with no barges, we dump it into the same pit the hopper bottom guys use. .50 a bushel to haul wheat 250 miles to St Louis? I can get 900 bushel in that bucket and gross 79900, 80100 with me in the truck...LOL. And I can do that in half a day... That's a bit over a hundred in MY pocket and I can go load clay after for the next day that pays $30 a ton to the truck...

Less then half the National average on equipment oos and ZERO out of 300+ driver inspections with a Oos.

    Pretty dang good to me.

I see them around the stl area at the grain terminals pretty often. It may be a decent company but The trucks hardly ever seem clean and are usually the ugliest trucks in the grain lines with all their wind fairings wheel covers and big satellite dish sticking out the top. As far as getting 900 bu of wheat in a bucket with a truck with a bunk and emissions equipment I doubt it unless it has a really small motor, even with super singles, that puts the truck's empty weight at 26K lbs. Beelman's day cabs with super singles barely touch that with the same vantage frameless trailers minus all the wind crap. (yes I know a truck is a tool and looks shouldn't matter but I take pride in keeping a clean decent looking truck at least.)
