Does Swift still use the "Work Well" test during orientation. I have read both answers on this forum. Would someone that has attended the Swift Academy recently please provide an answer? Also if they are still using it, what exactly are the current requirements? Thanks so much, going to school on the 3rd of October and wondering what I should expect.
Work-well...still using?

Started Swift Academy at San Antonio today. As of this morning's DOT physical there was no WorkWell type testing. Whiz quiz, blood pressure, blood sugar, vision, hearing, barely a hernia check, reflexes, listen to breathing, abdomen palpitation. The urine sample is checked for blood, etc with a dip strip and two samples are sent for the drug screen which takes a week. They give you three chances at the BP test but plenty of time to calm down between. There was also no mention of sleep apnea testing or screening at all.
We started at 0700 with 19 students and by 1300 had lost 5 although a few were not as a result of the physical. One guy showed up without a drivers license in hand. Kind of a "duh!" moment.

Frank, Thanks for the detail. I am excited about starting training in San Antonio on Nov. 30. Thanks for letting the rest of us know what you experience. Maybe should start a thread as a dairy of what happens to you and what you learn in school....

Be sure to say hello to Matt for me, an instructor that looks like a "surfer dude" per a DM he and I had when we used to run 308 division.
