Ouch! Do you all cook from scratch? Have a garden? By meat in bulk? Use coupon groups? Shop on double coupon days?

Yep, we cook from scratch. The only "garden" we have are a half dozen homegrown tomatoe plants. Ironically produce is actually one of the cheapest foods we buy and we eat a lot of it. We buy and freeze a lot of meats. And sometimes use coupons but we do always get 10% off any produce. Just don't see how anyone feeds a family off $400-$500 a month buying groceries like normal people and not really living large or anything. Just gotta call BS on that one. Sounds like somebody that ain't got a clue what they spend on groceries and likely never goes into the store to get any.

I'm running Coleman 12v cooler, lazy to bring my little 110v fridge in after 5 months break. Saves a ton of space and everything is cooled. Not as battery efficient as fridge, but does the job of keeping meat, produce and bubbles chilled enough for few days while using them.
